In the recording booth i wanted to set up my drums and because of the excessive volume I decided to make another floating floor. To avoid the contact noise i started with a floor placed on rubber. The bottom and top floor plates are MDF 18 mm and inbetween i will put the 100 mm Rockwool i recently bought second hand. if the noise is reduced enough i can leave it like this, if not, i plan on doing the same for the walls and the ceiling. the worst case scenario is another floating chamber within a floating chamber... that should do the trick I hope...
