I finished the ceiling, well at least the first layer of it...

today we finished the particle boards in the smaller part of the ceiling (behind the "office")

3 layers of rockwool for the ceiling (15 cm total)

large particle boards (1.25 m x 2.50 m) were cut into smaller pieces, varying from 39 to 51 cm

for the ceiling we used 56 pieces of 1.25 m in length (but varying in width)

we used approx 300 meters on laths for the ceiling (marked # 4 on the drawing at the bottom)

on the picture with the arrows (see below feb 4), i first start with the laths on the side of the beams

these are used to maintain the air space between the flat roof and the particle board

1- bitumen roofing felt

2- flat roof (wood)

3- beam (wood) 175 mm

4- lath (wood) 20 mm

5- particle board 18 mm

6- air space 20 mm

7- rubber tile, 25 mm

8- rockwool, 2 layers, total 150-180 mm

9- drywall (or plasterboard or sheetrock), 2 layers, each 125 mm
